Beetle psx crt shader. In my experience (with crt-royale-ntsc-320px-svideo), there's no problem with 1x or 4x resolution. It can be compiled in C++98 mode, excluding the Vulkan renderer, Feb 21, 2026 ยท Beetle PSX prioritizes accuracy and offers a software renderer that faithfully replicates the original PlayStation experience. A curated collection of shaders can be used (CRT shaders, ScaleFX, ScaleHQ, xBRZ, various interpolation shaders) SMAS brick fix should automatically be softpatched to SMAS ROMs. I basically think of CRT shaders as anti-aliasing for these older sprite based games, or tbh any games PS1 and below, it cleans things up real nice. The thing is I've seen some impressive CRT shaders for PSX Beetle HW. Of course if you're on slightly less capable hardware Royale might be demanding, in which case any of the lighter resource CRT shaders would be nice, like CRT-Pi. Switch this on to give 3D PS1, Saturn, and Dreamcast games a more natural look. If you want the xBR look, I would recommend disabling supersampling and using the super-xbr-3D shaders, which will scale the backgrounds and HUD elements while ignoring the upscaled polygons. Each of the presets are explained and have associated videos with gameplay footage, to illustrate their visual effects while in motion. Cheat codes are supported.
